How Swords Work
Blade users are immune to all sword damage, including Aura, though some abilities can still stun-lock them. Bosses ignore this immunity entirely, and the Chef NPC who uses Blade still has a 1 in 3 chance of being hit.
Koko is the only sword buffed by a fruit other than Buddha. Inside a Control Area, its range and area of effect increase significantly.
Buddha's transformation increases the size and area of effect of the equipped sword or fighting style, with Midnight Blade as a known exception. Basic attack damage drops slightly during the transformation, offset by the added defense and area of effect.
Legendary and Mythical swords generally out-damage fruits on both basic attacks and skills, compensating for fewer moves and weaker mobility. Some swords carry separate level requirements; Tushita needs level 2000 even after being obtained.
