MM2 Pets: What They Do and How Many There Are

Pets in MM2 are cosmetic companions that follow your character around during the round. They don't affect your speed or anything tied to gameplay; a rare pet won't give you an edge as the murderer, sheriff, or innocent. Their entire value comes from how they look and how hard they are to get, not from any in-game function.

Right now, MM2 has around 86 tradeable pets, ranging from the current Pet Egg pool to pets that haven't been available since a Halloween event years ago.

What Pets Actually Do in the Game

Pets serve no combat or survival purpose. They don't warn you when the murderer is nearby, they don't boost your movement, and they can't be used as a weapon or a shield. A player with a Zombie Dog trailing behind them has the same odds of surviving a round as a player with a plain Cat.

Pets Obtainable From the Pet Egg

The Pet Egg costs 1,000 Coins or 100 Diamonds and hatches one of 21 pets, split across six rarity tiers. This is the only active source of pets in the game right now.

Every pet in this pool is a variant of the same seven base animals: common pulls at the bottom, Fire versions in the middle, and Chroma Fire versions as the rarest possible hatch. If you want a pet without trading, this table is the only place to look.

Pets You Can Only Get Through Trading

Everything outside the Pet Egg's 21-pet pool falls into this category. These pets came from Halloween events, Christmas events, the old Pet Box, item packs, and shop items that no longer exist, so trading with another player is the only way to add them to your inventory.

Every source for pets in this table has been shut down for years, some for over a decade, which is exactly why collectors chase them. Supply is fixed, so the only way in is finding a player willing to trade.
