Snowy Knife (2017)

Snowy Knife (2017) Overview

About Snowy Knife (2017)

Snowy is a rare knife that was added during the Christmas Event 2017. Players unboxed it from the 2017 Christmas Box, which opened with 1 Winter Key per box, and it had a 10% pull rate. The event ran from December 25, 2017, to February 27, 2018, and the weapons inside the box were only available during that time. Since the event is over, Snowy is trading only now.

Appearance and Best Pairings

Snowy has a turquoise blade with a simple silhouette of a forest in a snowstorm, and each set of trees gets darker toward the tip. The guard is silver and the handle is solid black. For a gun that matches the knife, Galactic is a good pick because it is a black revolver with cyan parts, so the cool blue-green color and the dark handle line up.

Snowy Knife (2017) Background

Snowy came out on December 25, 2017, the first day of the Christmas Event 2017. The main goal of the event was to craft toys from salvaged weapons and trade them in at Santa's Workshop for Snowflake Tokens and Winter Keys. The 2017 Christmas Box was the first weapon box in MM2 that opened with Winter Keys, and it was only available during that event.

Here is every item in the 2017 Christmas Box with its drop chance:

• Present Knife (2017) - Common - 70%

• Coal Knife (2017) - Common - 70%

• Elf Knife (2017) - Common - 70%

• Santa Knife (2017) - Common - 70%

• Frosty - Uncommon - 15%

• Sweater Knife (2017) - Uncommon - 15%

• Tree Knife (2017) - Uncommon - 15%

• Gingerbread Knife (2017) - Rare - 10%

• Snowy Knife (2017) - Rare - 10%

• Green Fire - Legendary - 5%

• Winter's Edge - Godly - 0.2%

Snowy shares its 10% drop chance with the Gingerbread knife, so it was one of two Rare knives in the box. Every item in the box was a knife, which made each weapon easier to unbox than in the later boxes that mixed knives and guns. The box closed when the event ended, so every knife from it is trading only today.

Snowy is not the only knife with this name, since Snowy Knife (2015) is an Uncommon knife from Christmas Event 2015. Snowy is the newer of the two, and each one is a separate item with its own value. Always check the year in the name before you trade so you get the right one.
