About Nik's Scythe
Nik's Scythe is an Ancient knife given to players who helped report bugs to Nikilis, the creator of MM2, or to his close friends. There is no way to obtain it besides being one of Nikilis' friends, with the item given out personally through a code entered in-game.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Nik's Scythe has one large teal wing-shaped blade with a black outline, curving into the scythe shape, and a smaller wing sitting just below it near the base. At the tip of the blade, where the wings meet the handle, there's a small cluster of black jagged spikes. The handle is a long, thin black shaft ending in a curved black hook, with small jagged points running along the hook's curve. The color scheme is teal and black throughout.
Since Nik's Scythe is a direct reskin of Batwing, it shares the same pairing logic. Batwing is commonly matched with the godly gun Darkbringer to form the Batwing Set, and the same combo works for Nik's Scythe, with the gun's dark tone lining up well with the scythe's teal and black color scheme.
Nik's Scythe Background
Nik's Scythe is a blue-teal recolor of Batwing, originally created as a dev-only item before Batwing itself became a game pass. Nikilis and his close friend Zyleak have given the scythe away personally over the years, either as a reward for reporting bugs or as a gift to close friends. Only seven copies are confirmed to exist, held by:
Zyleak
Slouse
Julrbx
IDontHaveAUse
didi1147
Songbreeze15
and Nikilis himself
One known recipient, didi1147, received his code as a birthday gift and later made a video in December 2020 explaining how it happened. Another copy, owned by Songbreeze15, originally belonged to jason_777, one of the players involved in the 2018 Duping Glitch, who gave it to Songbreeze15 after leaving the platform.
There's a common misconception that Nik's Scythe has been duped like other items, such as Batwing, Icewing, or Elderwood Scythe. It hasn't. Nikilis keeps track of all seven copies directly, and any duplicate would be removed on sight. Nik's Scythe is also the only Ancient in the game that isn't part of the holiday section, unlike other scythes such as Hallowscythe.
On August 20, 2026, one copy was stolen from its owner, Julrbx, for the first time ever, reportedly through a compromised account. Nikilis confiscated the hacker's account, and the scythe was recovered.
