Tree Knife (2017)

Tree Knife (2017) Overview

About Tree Knife (2017)

Tree is an Uncommon knife that comes from the 2017 Christmas Box during the Christmas Event 2017. Each box costs 1 Winter Key to open, and Tree has a 15% pull rate. The event ran from December 25, 2017, to February 27, 2018, and the box and its weapons are no longer available, so trading is now the only way to get Tree.

Appearance and Best Pairings

Tree is a knife with a dark green blade that has a Christmas tree texture, with small ornaments, yellow stars, and lights. It has a dark brown guard and a solid black handle. For a matching gun, try Pea, a dark green gun with a lighter green barrel that fits the green blade.

Tree Knife (2017) Background

The 2017 Christmas Box was the first weapon box in MM2 that could be opened with Winter Keys. Players earned the keys by trading in toys at Santa's Workshop during the Christmas Event 2017. Here is every item in the 2017 Christmas Box with its drop chance:

• Present Knife (2017) - Common - 70%

• Coal Knife (2017) - Common - 70%

• Elf Knife (2017) - Common - 70%

• Santa Knife (2017) - Common - 70%

• Frosty - Uncommon - 15%

• Sweater Knife (2017) - Uncommon - 15%

• Tree - Uncommon - 15%

• Gingerbread Knife (2017) - Rare - 10%

• Snowy Knife (2017) - Rare - 10%

• Green Fire - Legendary - 5%

• Winter's Edge - Godly - 0.2%

Tree is one of three Uncommon knives in the box, and each of them has a 15% pull rate. It is much harder to unbox than the four Common knives at 70%, but easier to get than the two Rare knives at 10%. The Legendary knife has a 5% chance, and the Godly knife has the lowest chance in the box at 0.2%.

Four other knives in MM2 share the Tree name, and each one came from a different Christmas event. Here is every Tree knife besides this one:

• Tree Knife (2015) - Legendary - Christmas Event 2015

• Tree Knife (2021) - Uncommon - Christmas Event 2021 tier 11

• Tree Knife (2022) - Rare - Christmas Event 2022 tier 17

• Tree Knife (2023) - Rare - Christmas Event 2023 tier 15

Tree from 2017 is the only one that came from the 2017 Christmas Box. The 2021, 2022, and 2023 versions were tier rewards, and the 2015 version was an earlier Christmas release. Since the names are the same, the year in the name is the easiest way to tell them apart.
