Tree Knife (2015)

Tree Knife (2015) Overview

About Tree Knife (2015)

Tree is a legendary knife that was added during the Christmas Event 2015. It could only be unboxed from the 2015 Christmas Knife Box, which cost 30 Gifts per box, or 75 Gifts before the official release on December 19, 2015. The box has a 5% chance of giving a legendary weapon, and Tree is the only legendary knife inside it. The event ended on January 8, 2016, so Tree is now trading only.

Appearance and Best Pairings

Tree has a blade made of green pine needles with Christmas tree decorations wrapped all around it, and a shiny silver edge. The guard and pommel are golden, and the handle is brown with a tree trunk texture and red ribbons wrapped around it. Tree pairs with its gun counterpart, Tree Gun (2015), as part of the Tree (2015) Set. The green and gold colors also go well with Green Luger, a metallic green gun that was crafted during the same Christmas Event 2015.

Tree Knife (2015) Background

Tree comes from the 2015 Christmas Knife Box, one of the first Christmas weapon boxes in MM2. Together with the 2015 Christmas Gun Box, it was the first and last event box that held only one type of weapon, and in this case that type was knives. The box was open from the pre-release on December 14, 2015, and its model comes from the Roblox Giftsplosion hat, the Opened Silver Sponsored Gift.

Here is every item in the 2015 Christmas Knife Box with its drop chance:

• Santa Knife (2015) - Common - 70%

• Elf Knife (2015) - Common - 70%

• Ornament1 Knife - Common - 70%

• Ornament2 Knife - Common - 70%

• Snowy Knife (2015) - Uncommon - 15%

• Snowman Knife (2015) - Uncommon - 15%

• Wrapped Knife (2015) - Uncommon - 15%

• Ginger Knife (2015) - Rare - 10%

• Cane Knife (2015) - Rare - 10%

• Tree Knife (2015) - Legendary - 5%

• Candy Knife - Godly - 0.2%

Tree sits near the top of this box, with only Candy above it as the godly knife at 0.2%. Every other item in the box is common, uncommon, or rare, which makes Tree the only legendary in the drop pool. Each box opened with 30 Gifts gave one random knife from this list, so landing Tree took a bit of luck.

Four other knives in MM2 share the Tree name:

• Tree Knife (2017) - Uncommon - Christmas Event 2017

• Tree Knife (2021) - Uncommon - Christmas Event 2021

• Tree Knife (2022) - Rare - Christmas Event 2022

• Tree Knife (2023) - Rare - Christmas Event 2023

Tree is the oldest of the five and the only one with legendary rarity. The later versions are all uncommon or rare knives from newer Christmas events, so they are easy to tell apart from the 2015 original. Always check the year before trading so you get the right one.
