Gingerbread is a rare knife added during the Christmas Event 2017, which ran from December 25, 2017, to February 27, 2018. It was unboxed from the 2017 Christmas Box, which cost 1 Winter Key per open. Gingerbread had a 10% chance of dropping. The box and its weapons were only available during that event. Trading is now the only way to get Gingerbread.
Gingerbread Knife (2017) takes the shape of a broad Bowie-style blade, brown with a smooth gingerbread-like texture and purple round gumdrop shapes dotted along the top edge. The crossguard is purple, and the handle is solid black. It is not part of any Set. For a gun, try Wraiths Gun, a good match for its purple gumdrops and black handle.
The 2017 Christmas Box was the first weapon box in MM2 that was opened with Winter Keys. It was also the last box where the Snow Key had the skin shown on that box, because the key’s look changed the next year. Gingerbread shared the 10% rare tier with one other knife, and only two weapons in the box were rarer:
Snowy Knife (2017): rare, 10%
Green Fire: legendary, 5%
Winter’s Edge: godly, 0.2%
The Gingerbread name came back many times in later Christmas events, and nine other items share it:
Gingerbread Gun (2019): uncommon
Gingerbread Knife (2020): uncommon
Gingerbread Gun (2020): uncommon
Gingerbread Gun (2021): uncommon
Gingerbread Knife (2022): rare
Gingerbread Gun (2022): rare
Gingerbread Knife (2025): uncommon
Gingerbread Gun (2025): uncommon
The 2022 knife is also rare and came from its own Christmas Box, so check the type and year before you trade. Current trade trackers put Gingerbread Knife (2017) around
1.2 with Low demand.
