About Winter's Edge
Winter's Edge is a godly knife that was added with the Christmas Event 2017, which began on December 25, 2017, and ended on February 27, 2018. It was the godly prize of the 2017 Christmas Box, which opened with 1 Winter Key and gave Winter's Edge a 0.2% chance on each open. Winter Keys came from trading in toys at Santa's Workshop, where a single Tablet paid out 20 keys, or up to 40 when wrapped in Ultra Wrapping Paper. Trading is the only way to get Winter's Edge now that the event is over.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Winter's Edge has a blade in different shades of blue shaped like a giant sharp icicle, with no guard, so the red handle with a yellow ring connects straight to the blade. A dark turquoise pointed flame sits at the bottom as the pommel.
For a loadout, Ice Camo is a good gun to run with it. It has an ice-colored camo pattern on the barrel and frame and a dark turquoise handle, which matches the icy blade and the turquoise pommel.
Winter's Edge Background
Winter's Edge got its look from the Roblox gear Sword of the Seven Winters, which still sells for 725 Robux in the avatar shop. It also had a second life as the icon for the Knife Wrapper effect, which cost 60 Snowflake Tokens in the 2017 Workshop and wrapped the player's knife in green Christmas paper, and it is the only effect icon that uses a mesh other than the Default Knife.
The 2017 Christmas Box held only knives, and the odds were split into tiers. Four Common knives came in at 70%, three Uncommons (Frosty among them) at 15%, and two Rares, Snowy and Gingerbread (2017), at 10%. Green Fire was the Legendary at 5%, and Winter's Edge sat at the top as the only godly.
Players who wanted a guaranteed godly could skip the box and spend Snowflake Tokens in the Workshop instead, where Snowflake cost 3,000 tokens, and Frostsaber cost 5,000. That made Winter's Edge the one godly from the event that could only be won by luck, in a 64-day event that remains the longest Christmas event MM2 has had.
