About Pixel
Pixel is a godly knife added on February 22, 2016, when Nikilis released the 8-Bit Item Pack game pass for 899 Robux. Buying the pack also granted the godly pet Phoenix and an exclusive effect called Bitsplosion, and it was one of four original item packs MM2 ever sold alongside the American, Futuristic, and Clockwork packs, with Pixel's pack being one of only two of the four that didn't include a godly gun. Trading is now the only way to get Pixel since the game pass went off sale.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Pixel is built entirely out of square pixels, true to its name. The blade is white and silver with a black outline, while the guard and handle are blue with black outlining to match. Its official pairing is the 8-Bit Set with Phoenix, the godly pet that came bundled in the same game pass. For a gun to round out the loadout, Blaster is a strong match, it came from that same wave of 2016 item-pack godlies and carries a similar blue, tech-inspired color scheme.
Pixel Background
The 8-Bit Item Pack was teased by Nikilis on Twitter on February 21, 2016, before going live the next day. It replaced the Clockwork Item Pack as MM2's featured game pass bundle and sold for 899 Robux, a price point shared by all four original item packs. Only 1,131 players ended up buying it before it went off sale, a small number next to the other three packs.
Pixel's design is pulled straight from the Roblox avatar shop, modeled on the limited gear 8-Bit Sword. Phoenix, its pet partner, was built the same way, modeled on 8-Bit Phoenix. Together with the Bitsplosion effect, the two godly items gave buyers a full matching set themed entirely around retro pixel art, a style MM2 didn't really revisit after this pack. Salvaging the Pixel Knife produces 105 godly shards.
