About Elderwood Blade
Elderwood Blade is a godly knife that entered Murder Mystery 2 through the Halloween Box 2022, the crate for the Halloween Event 2022, which ran from October 16 to November 10, 2022. Each pull from the box cost 600 Candies, and Elderwood Blade came out at a 0.2% chance, the same box dropped its chroma counterpart, Chroma Elderwood Blade, at 0.004%.
Trading is now the only way to add Elderwood Blade to an inventory, since Halloween Event 2022 ended years ago. It's grouped into the Full Elderwood Set alongside Elderwood Scythe and Elderwood Revolver, though those two actually came from Halloween Event 2019, three years earlier, so the set is more of a shared look across different releases than a single event drop.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Elderwood Blade has a jagged tanto-shaped blade in dark green with a cracked texture running across it. The edge glows purple, with matching purple streaks along the spine. The guard and handle are shaped like a curling tree branch, purple in color, with part of the guard curling onto the spine and the rest drooping in front of the handle.
Elderwood Revolver makes the natural pairing. It's named alongside Elderwood Blade in the Full Elderwood Set and shares the same dark green, cracked, tree-bark look, even though it was actually released three years earlier in Halloween Event 2019.
Elderwood Blade Background
Halloween Event 2022 was built around a story choice. Players talked to two NPCs, the Survivor and the Zombie King, and picked a side before the rest of the event unlocked. That choice was permanent, and it split the event into two separate tier-reward tracks, the first time an MM2 event ran two full reward ladders side by side instead of one shared one. Each track cost 600 Candies per tier from tier 2 to 20, then a final 50,000 Candies for the track's own weapon, Makeshift Gun on the Survivors side and Bat on the Zombies side.
Elderwood Blade also has four leaderboard-only reskins, Blue, Bronze, Silver, and Gold. The event's Candies-collected leaderboard ran for fifteen days, from October 16 to October 31, 2022, and the top three finishers, AstropIuto, MorallyLow, and Maliviolent, walked away with the Gold, Silver, and Bronze versions respectively, while everyone else in the top 100 got the Blue.
Nikilis also reset every Icewing above 190 copies down to just 5 during the event, which lines up with the October 16, 2022 cleanup tied to The Duping Glitch (2022), the same incident that hit Icewing hardest.
