Sweater Knife (2018) was obtainable by reaching Tier 14 in the Lumber Yard, a 100-tier progression system that ran through Christmas Event 2018 from December 23, 2018 to January 14, 2019. Each tier cost one Log, earned by growing ornament trees, buying them for 60 Gems, or picking them up as random drops after rounds.
Trading is the only way to add Sweater Knife (2018) now that the event has ended. This isn't the only weapon carrying the name either: MM2 has a separate 2017 Christmas Box knife simply called Sweater and a newer 2025 Battle Pass version, plus two partner guns share the name too: Sweater Gun (2018), pulled from that year's Christmas Box, and Sweater Gun (2025), unboxed from the 2025 Christmas Box, so this listing is specifically the 2018 Tier 14 knife.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Sweater takes the shape of a broad, curved blade patterned like a knitted holiday sweater, dark green with a repeating white snowflake and geometric design across its surface, a white crossguard separating the blade from the handle, which is wrapped in solid black. Its official partner is Sweater Gun (2018), which carries a matching dark green base with the same white geometric pattern across the barrel and frame.

The Lumber Yard wasn't new that Christmas; it reused the same tiered log system Halloween Event 2018 had introduced a few months earlier, just reskinned for the season. The event's bigger ticket items sat well above Sweater's tier: Icewing, sold separately as a 2,499 Robux Game pass, and Ginger Luger, craftable by salvaging Gingerblade and Luger into Gingerbread Cookie and Gold Bar. There was also a leaderboard track running in parallel, rewarding the top 100 token collectors with Blue Sugar and the top three with Bronze, Silver, and Gold Sugar.
Sweater itself carried one quirk: equipping the Knifeception effect on it would show small images of its own decal instead of the effect working as intended, a bug that's since been patched. Current trade trackers put it around 60 with Medium demand.
