About Luger
Luger is a godly gun that has been unboxable from Gun Box 1 since the box's launch in 2014, the very first gun box ever added to the game. It sits at a 0.2% pull rate in the godly slot, with its chroma counterpart, Chroma Luger, found in the same box at 0.004%. The box itself is still live today, purchasable for 1,000 Coins, 100 Diamonds, or 1 Mystery Key. Since Luger is still obtainable in-game, trading is only one of two ways to add it to an inventory, the other being unboxing it directly.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Luger is a metallic, yellowish-gold Luger pistol, with its toggle pin and the grip of the handle running a slightly darker shade than the rest of the body. Its set partner is Corrupt, a golden-bladed knife with a silver guard and a grayish-black handle, completing the Corrupt Set. For a second pairing outside the set, the Golden Knife is a close match, carrying the same raw gold finish across its entire blade and handle.
Luger Background
Gun Box 1 launched in 2014 for 75 Credits, moved to 200 Coins before the Season 1 update, and now sells for 1,000 Coins, 100 Diamonds, or 1 Mystery Key. It briefly carried a naming bug at launch where the shop listed it as "Knife Box 1" instead of "Gun Box 1." Luger's own texture dates back even further, made by DarkGenex in 2013, and its model is a retextured version of the Roblox gear Luger Pistol, which still sells on the avatar shop for 700 Robux. Salvaging a Luger at the crafting station gives 65 godly shards.
Luger is the base for what we group as the Full Luger Set, a run of reskins made from it:
Red Luger and Green Luger (Christmas Event 2015)
Ginger Luger (Christmas Event 2018)
Lugercane (Christmas Event 2019).
There's also a long-running, unverified claim tying Luger to a sixth reskin called Black Luger, allegedly duplicated by a hacker in 2015 and later transformed by Nikilis into what's now the common knife Glitch2, but that link has never been confirmed and is treated as a community rumor rather than fact.
Its set partner, Corrupt, has its own history worth knowing. It was handed out to victims of the Data Loss Glitch back in 2014, making it the first weapon ever to carry MM2's Unique rarity, which was originally just called "Reward." Only around 63 players owned a Corrupt between 2015 and 2017, before the Duping Glitch of 2017 flooded the game with copies and tanked its standing as the second-rarest knife in the game, behind only Nik's Scythe.
