About Ginger Luger

Ginger Luger is a godly gun that was added on December 23, 2018, during the Christmas Event 2018. It wasn't unboxed or bought directly, it had to be crafted by salvaging the godly knife Gingerblade to produce a Gingerbread Cookie, salvaging the godly gun Luger to produce a Gold Bar, and combining the two at the crafting station gave players the Ginger Luger. Our MM2 crafting guide breaks down how that system worked if you want the full picture.

Trading is now the only way to get the Ginger Luger since the event ended on January 14, 2019. It's part of the Ginger Godly Set with Gingerblade, and it's also one of five reskins made from the base Luger, making it part of the Full Luger Set too.

Appearance and Best Pairings

Ginger Luger reskins the classic Luger Pistol with a candy cane barrel, a front sight, slide, pin, and trigger shaped like small pieces of green candy, and sugary white frosting running along the top of the gun. The rest of the body is made to look like gingerbread, with a slightly darker grip on the handle.

Its set partner is Gingerblade, a gingerbread-textured blade with zig-zag icing, red and green candy pieces, and a peppermint guard, completing the Ginger Godly Set. For a second knife pairing outside the set, Eternalcane works well, with its own red and white candy cane blade matching Ginger Luger's holiday color scheme.

Ginger Luger Background

The 2018 Christmas Box, the event's main box, sold for a Snowflake Key (itself bought with 100 Snowflake Tokens) and held Gingerblade and its chroma counterpart, Chroma Gingerblade, in the godly slot. Both sat at the usual low godly odds, 0.2% for Gingerblade and 0.004% for Chroma Gingerblade, meaning most players who ended up with a Ginger Luger first had to pull a Gingerblade from that box before they could even start the crafting recipe. Gingerblade itself gives 20 godly shards when salvaged separately at the crafting station, on top of what it gave up to become a Gingerbread Cookie.

Ginger Luger is one of five total reskins built on the base Luger, alongside Red Luger and Green Luger from the Christmas Event 2015, Lugercane from the Christmas Event 2019, and Chroma Luger. Unlike those other four, which came from unboxing or chroma pulls, Ginger Luger is the only one in the lineup that had to be built through crafting rather than obtained directly.
