Starry is a rare gun added during the Christmas Event 2021, earned by clearing the 17th tier of that event's Main Event. Every tier from the second onward cost 800 Snow Tokens, so reaching Starry meant paying through sixteen tiers first, about 12,800 Snow Tokens in total, three tiers short of the event's final reward, the ancient knife Swirly Axe, which cost 80,000 Snow Tokens on its own at tier twenty. The Christmas Event 2021 ran from December 21, 2021 to January 28, 2022. Trading is the only way to add Starry now that the event has ended.
Starry's frame is solid black from barrel to handle, with small yellow shooting stars printed across it, one on the barrel and another on the grip. Pairing it with its Set partner, Starry Knife, completes the Starry Set for a matching loadout. For a different look, Galaxy, a purple and black knife covered in tiny stars meant to resemble a night sky, pairs well with Starry's own star pattern even though the two items have no official connection.
The name Starry has been reused across MM2 more than once, so mixing up versions during a trade is a real risk. A completely separate Starry Gun (2020), a common gun, was added during the 2020 Halloween Event, earned by unlocking ten doors in that event's Scary Mode rather than through any Christmas Main Event. Years later, a Starry Knife (2026) arrived as an uncommon pull from the 2026 Valentine's Box, priced at 30 Heart Gems or 60 Gems, and has no connection to either the 2020 or 2021 version beyond sharing the name.
Even inside the Christmas Event 2021 Main Event, Starry wasn't the only tier reward carrying that name. Tier sixteen, the spot right before Starry's own tier seventeen, handed out a cosmetic effect also called Starry, and the event repeated the same naming pattern two tiers later, giving out an Aurora effect on tier eighteen followed by the Aurora Gun (2021) on tier nineteen.
