About Bones Gun (2019)
Bones Gun is an uncommon gun that came out of the 2019 Halloween Box, one of the pulls players could land for 1,000 Candies or a single Pumpkin Key during the Halloween Event 2019, which ran from October 26 to November 16 that year.
It sat at the same uncommon rarity tier as Brains Knife and Zombified Knife from the same box, putting it around a 15% chance per open. The box closed for good once the event ended, so trading is the only way to add it to your collection now.
Appearance and Best Pairings
The revolver is built to look like it's held together by bones, with a bone shape overlaying a black background across the barrel and handle. The cylinder keeps the same black background but carries two bones imprinted on it instead, and the frame, hammer, and trigger are all a solid bone white.
Bones Gun doesn't have an official Set partner, but Boneblade makes a strong visual match regardless of year, its handle is carved from black bone against a gray blade, keeping the same skeletal black and bone white look that carries the gun.
Bones Gun (2019) Background
Bones Gun was designed by IDontHaveAUse, part of a wave of custom designed weapons that Halloween Event 2019 introduced, the first holiday event in MM2 history to move away from recolored reskins for its box items.
The name gets reused three more times on top of that. There's a rare knife also called just Bones from the 2020 Halloween Box, a knife from 2016 with its own separate look and value, and a fourth Bones from the 2024 Halloween Box, a black bladed uncommon knife with bone overlays. All four only share a name, so it's worth confirming the year before agreeing to any trade that just says "Bones."
That same 2019 event carried bigger draws too. Elderwood Scythe came off the Main Event's Candy tier ladder for 80,000 Candies, while Ghostblade came bundled through the separate Ghostly Item Pack game pass. Elderwood Revolver actually shared the same box as Bones Gun, just at 0.2% odds instead of the far more common uncommon slot Bones Gun landed in.
