About Bones Knife (2020)
Bones is a rare knife that was added during the Halloween Event 2020, which started on October 26, 2020. It could only be unboxed from the 2020 Halloween Box, which cost 600 Candies or 1 Pumpkin Key per box. Each box had a 10% chance of giving a rare weapon, and Bones shares that chance with one other knife in the box. The event ended on November 22, 2020, so Bones is now trading only.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Bones has a solid black blade with a ribcage of bones printed on it. The guard is bone white, and the handle is solid black with a single bone printed on it. The gray, stone-like body of Grave Gun goes well with Bones, since both lean on a graveyard look.
Bones Knife (2020) Background
Bones comes from the 2020 Halloween Box, which was open from October 26 to November 22, 2020. The box held 11 weapons, and opening one cost 600 Candies or a Pumpkin Key. Here is every item in the 2020 Halloween Box with its drop chance:
Carved Knife - Common - 70%
Watcher Knife (2020) - Common - 70%

Portal Knife - Rare - 10%
Ripper Gun - Legendary - 5%
Bones shares its 10% chance with Portal, the only other rare in the box. Ripper is the single legendary at 5%, and Hallowgun is the only godly at 0.2%. Each box gave one random weapon from this list for 600 Candies or a Pumpkin Key. Two other knives in MM2 also use the Bones name:
Bones Knife (2016) - Common - Halloween Event 2016
Bones Knife (2024) - Uncommon - Halloween Event 2024
Bones is the only rare of the three. The 2016 version came from the first Halloween event box ever in MM2, and the 2024 version is uncommon. Always check the year before trading so you get the right one.
