About Magma Gun (2021)
Magma is a rare gun added during the Halloween Event 2021, which ran from October 23 to November 25, 2021. It sat at the 20th tier of that year's 30-tier Main Event, where every tier past the free first one cost 600 Candies, so reaching it meant clearing 19 paid tiers, 11,400 Candies in total. Magma is now only obtainable through trading since the event has long since ended.
Appearance and Best Pairings
The barrel and front sight are built from molten magma, with the frame, handle, and the gun's accents shaped out of solid magma rock, giving it a glowing, volcanic look from end to end. Its natural pairing is the Magma Knife (2021), the matching piece that completes the Magma Set. Both weapons share the same molten design, making them an easy pick to run together in one loadout.
Magma Gun (2021) Background
Halloween Event 2021 broke MM2's concurrent-player record at the time, peaking at 194,410 players online at once, a record that held until the Valentines Event 2023. The event also introduced MM2's first-ever Evolving system, letting the Reaver knife level up through Rare, Legendary, Godly, and Ancient stages by earning experience points, something no earlier event had done.
Magma was designed by IDontHaveAUse, the same artist behind its own knife partner. The name itself isn't new to MM2. A completely unrelated Magma Knife (2017) was already in the game from the Halloween Event 2017, four years earlier, with no connection to this gun or its 2021 knife partner beyond sharing a name.
