Roblox Rivals Ranks

Roblox Rivals ranked mode runs on eight ranks from Bronze to Archnemesis, with ELO deciding placement and matchmaking. Tiers sit 200 ELO apart, from 0 at Bronze I up to 3,600 at Nemesis, while Archnemesis is capped at the top 200 Nemesis players worldwide instead of a fixed number. Unlocking ranked needs Level 100, 10 duel wins, 30 tasks, and account verification, followed by 10 placement matches before a rank appears. ELO gains and losses scale with the opponent's rank rather than a flat amount

Rivals is one of the most played shooters on Roblox, and Ranked mode is the main way players prove their skill. The system runs on ELO, a score that rises with wins and drops with losses, and that score decides your rank.

Ranked isn't open by default, you need to unlock it first, and even after that, your rank stays hidden until you finish placement matches. In this article, we'll explain how Ranked works in Roblox Rivals, how to unlock it, and how ELO gains and losses actually work.

What Is Ranked in Roblox Rivals?

Ranked features 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 matches, separate from casual duels. Every match changes your ELO, and ELO decides your rank.

To unlock it, your account needs 10 duel wins and Level 100. You also need an account at least 14 days old, plus either 200 Robux spent or a verified email, phone, or ID. On top of that, 30 tasks need to be completed. These requirements exist mainly to keep out alt accounts and exploiters. Once unlocked, your rank stays hidden until you finish 10 placement matches.

Placement Matches

You need 10 placement matches before your rank appears. These count more than casual duels, since the results decide your starting point.

Wins alone don't decide placement, performance matters more. A player with 2 wins could land Platinum II while a 10-win player lands Gold II. Account level plays a role too, a level 105 player who sweeps placements might only hit Platinum I, while a level 300 player doing the same could reach Diamond I.

Previous season rank also carries weight; finishing Nemesis last season raises your odds of a Diamond start. The highest possible placement is Diamond I, capped at 2,500 ELO.

Gameplay Differences in Ranked

Ranked changes a few core settings. Third person is off, aim assist is cut by half, and Auto Shoot is locked to Dynamic, which slows reaction time on slow-firing weapons like the Sniper, Crossbow, and Revolver.

Each team bans one map and two weapons before the match. Map picks work by elimination; banning two of three proposed maps leaves the third. The default loadout- Assault Rifle, Handgun, Fists, Grenade- can't be banned unless everyone owns more than four weapons in that slot.

Loadout swaps are capped at two per duel, win streaks carry over safely, and matchmaking is region-locked, which can mean longer queues off-peak.

Ranked Rewards

Each season's Ranked Contract pays out based on wins, topping out at a free skin for 200 wins. Archnemesis players also get a Mythical Arch skin that changes theme every season. Everyone earns Glory from wins and final ELO, spendable in the Ranked Shop.

Penalties, ELO Decay, and Queue Restrictions

Leaving a match counts as an automatic loss plus a 15-minute matchmaking lockout, no matter the reason. At Onyx I or higher, 7 days without a ranked match starts ELO decay, losing 100 ELO a day from day 8 until you play again or hit the 3,000 ELO floor.

Party members must stay within 4 tiers, or 800 ELO, of each other. A Platinum I player can queue with Silver III through Diamond II, and a Nemesis player at 3,600 ELO can queue with Diamond III and up.

How Much ELO Do You Gain or Lose?

Gains and losses scale with the opponent's rank. Beating someone far below you barely moves the number; losing to them costs more. A Platinum II beating a Silver III might gain just 3 ELO, but losing that match could cost 38 to 40 ELO.

A recent update reworked this formula to scale more precisely by rank, stopped treating everyone above 3,600 ELO as equal, and let wins grant 0 ELO in extreme mismatches, giving a cosmetic reward instead. That change got rolled back for the rest of the season, with the old scaling active for now, and is expected to return next season.

Final Words

Ranked gives Rivals players a clear way to track progress, from Bronze up to the Top200 group who reach Archnemesis. Knowing how ELO moves, what unlocks Ranked, and how decay and queue rules work makes climbing a lot less confusing.
