About Watergun
Watergun is a godly gun that came out of the 2024 Summer Box, one of the rarer pulls during Summer Event 2024, which ran from July 5 to October 16 that year. It sat around a 0.2% chance per unboxing, with Chroma Watergun sitting even lower, at 0.004%, as the box's chroma counterpart. The box closed for good once the event ended, so trading is the only way to add either version to your collection now.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Watergun looks exactly like its name suggests, a toy water gun built for a beach day. The cylinder is mostly green with orange spots near the top and bottom, and the water barrel sitting inside it is orange with a few green flecks of its own. The toggle pin is orange against a green outer structure, and the grip splits the same way: a green striped outer handle with an orange inner handle marked by darker stripes.
Watergun doesn't have an official Set partner, but it's commonly carried alongside the common knife Toy for a matching plastic beach toy loadout, even though the two were never bundled together as a Set.
Watergun Background
Every Summer weapon added to MM2 before 2024 came from a Battle Pass or a direct purchase, never a box. Watergun changed that, becoming the first Summer godly players could unbox instead of earning through a tier ladder or buying outright. Its box also carried Chroma Watergun, which made that Summer Box the first minor-event box in MM2 to hold a chroma weapon at all.
Summer Event 2024 was the longest event MM2 had run up to that point, and it broke the game's all-time peak player count more than once while it was live. That record stood until Halloween Event 2025 pulled ahead of it the following year.
