Grow a Garden 2 Guilds: Everything to Know

Grow a Garden 2 Guilds

Guilds in Grow a Garden 2 are created through an NPC named Gilbert at the Guild Stand, costing 99 currency to start and free to join by invitation. Guilds hold up to 50 members across three roles: Owner, Elder, and Member. Weekly competitions rank all guilds on one flat leaderboard, with a Global and Local toggle, scoring points from harvested crop weight and paying out rewards across nine placement tiers, tapering from top prizes down to a couple of leftover items past #10,000.

Guilds are a core feature in Grow a Garden 2, and unlike a lot of what's in the game, this one didn't exist at all in the original Grow a Garden. Grouping up with other players unlocks weekly competitions, gifting, and a shared feed for celebrating big finds. In this article, we'll explain how to create and join a guild, how roles and member slots work, and how the weekly competition system pays out.

Guilds are managed through an NPC named Gilbert at the Guild Stand, located at the center of the map next to the Sell Stand and Props Shop. Creating a guild costs 99 in-game currency, while joining one is free as long as you've been invited.

How to Create a Guild

  1. Head to the Guild Stand at the center of the map, next to the Sell Stand and Props Shop.

  2. Talk to Gilbert, the NPC who manages guilds.

  3. Select "Create Guild" from his dialogue options.

  4. Fill in your Guild Name (24 characters max), Guild Tag (5 characters max), and Description (200 characters max).

  5. Press Create to confirm and pay the 99 in-game currency cost.

How to Join a Guild

Joining a guild is free, but you can only join if someone invites you first.

  1. An existing guild can invite you through their Guild page's Invite tab.

  2. Open your Mailbox to view the invite.

  3. Accept or decline the invite from there.

Guild Roles

A guild has three roles: Owner, Elder, and Member. Only the Owner can edit the guild's name, tag, description, colors, or icon, and renaming the guild triggers a 7-day cooldown before it can be changed again.

Members and Elders can leave a guild whenever they want. The Owner can't leave directly and has to disband the guild instead, which deletes it entirely and removes every member.

A guild can hold up to 50 members at its maximum. That capacity isn't available from the start, though; slots beyond the base amount have to be purchased one tier at a time, and the price scales up as the guild grows larger.

Guild Feed and Gifting

Members get a chat tag shown next to their name once they're in a guild. The Guild Feed lets members post gift requests for items like seeds, fruits, prop crates, seed packs, or eggs. Each member can have one open request at a time; it stays active for a 6-hour window, and other members can donate up to 10 items toward it. The feed also carries activity posts, things like legendary pet finds or big sales, which other members can react to.

Guild Competition

Guilds compete against each other every week, earning points based on harvested crop weight at a rate of 1 point per gram. The Top Guilds screen shows every guild ranked on one flat leaderboard, no separate brackets, with a Global and Local toggle to switch views. What exactly Global versus Local filters by isn't confirmed yet, so treat that distinction as unknown for now.

Rewards scale down through a series of placement tiers, with the biggest prizes at the top and quantities tapering off the further down the leaderboard you go. Near the very bottom, the tiers narrow down to a small, consistent set of items. The #1,000 to #5,000 tier pays out 3 of one item, 10 of another, and 2 of a third. The #5,000 to #10,000 tier drops the first item and keeps 10 of the second and 2 of the third. Past #10,000, only the single item remains, at a count of 2.

Reset timing for the weekly leaderboard isn't confirmed yet, though the in-game countdown timer confirms a real reset does happen on a set schedule; it just hasn't been pinned down to an exact day or hour.

Final Words

Guilds give Grow a Garden 2 a layer of cooperative play the original game never had, from shared gifting to a competitive weekly leaderboard. If you're playing regularly, joining or starting a guild is worth it for the extra rewards alone, and the Guild Feed makes it easy to keep track of what your group is accomplishing.
