About Minty
Minty is a godly gun that was unboxed from the 2019 Christmas Box, which cost 600 Snow Tokens or a Snow Key to open during the Christmas Event 2019. The event ran from December 23, 2019, to January 13, 2020, and the box held eleven weapons total, from four commons up through Minty itself as the single godly slot, sitting at a 0.2% chance. Trading is the only way to get Minty now that the event is long over.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Minty's upper barrel, cylinder, and handle carry a red and white candy cane pattern, with a gingerbread brown finish across the cylinder frame and trigger frame. The under barrel, cylinder frame details, and trigger are gold, and a small holly sits on the back of the cylinder where the hammer would normally be.
Its official Set partner is Logchopper, the double-bladed ancient axe that shares the same red and white candy cane shaft, together forming the Logchopper Set. For a second pairing outside the Set, Eternalcane works well as a knife option, carrying the same red and white candy cane color scheme on its blade even though it comes from an entirely different release.
Minty Background
The 2019 Christmas Box held eleven weapons at the following odds:
Gifts Gun (Common, 70%)
Frosted Gun (Common, 70%)
Snowflakes Knife (Common, 70%)
Pine Gun (Common, 70%)
Frozen Knife (Uncommon, 15%)
Gingerbread Gun (Uncommon, 15%)
Lights Knife (Uncommon, 15%)
Aurora Gun (Rare, 10%)
Candy Swirl Knife (Rare, 10%)
Cavern Gun (Legendary, 5%)
Minty (Godly, 0.2%)
Minty often gets called the third candy cane-themed godly ever added to MM2, but that undercounts it. Candy and Sugar came first back in 2015, and Eternalcane actually went live on December 6, 2019, over two weeks before the Christmas Event 2019 even started, putting it ahead of Minty too. The full group of candy cane-themed godlies now also includes Lugercane, Peppermint, Cookiecane, and Gingermint, a 2022 gun that pairs with Cookiecane and carries the same look as Minty itself.
