About Chroma Shark
Chroma Shark is a chroma pull from Gun Box 2, the same 1,000 Coins, 100 Diamonds, or 1 Mystery Key crate that holds the godly Shark it's based on. Both odds are fixed. Shark lands at 0.2% while the chroma version sits at 0.004%, and neither has changed since Gun Box 2 picked up its chroma slot when the Season 1 update rolled out on May 25, 2019.
Gun Box 2 has never gone off sale, so Chroma Shark is still obtainable straight from the box today, though the low odds keep most players relying on trading instead. It's the chroma counterpart of the godly Shark, both pulled from the same box.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Chroma Shark takes the shape of a bulky, futuristic rifle with a black and gray body, vented ridges running along the top of the barrel, and red trim lining the edges of the frame. A curved, shark-fin-shaped piece sits at the center of the body, carrying a bright rainbow gradient that shifts from yellow and green through blue, purple, and red, and that same rainbow bleeds down into the trigger guard and grip area beneath it.
Chroma Shark doesn't have an official Knife Set partner, so for pairings, Chroma Fang is a solid loadout choice. It's the other Chroma Godly locked to a Box 2 slot, pulled from Knife Box 2, and it carries the same predator theme, trading Shark's fins for a spider's fangs.
Chroma Shark Background
The Land Shark Shooter, a limited Roblox gear, is the base model behind both Shark and Chroma Shark. Nikilis kept the shark fin shape from the original but swapped its plain brown texture for a color alternating one on the Chroma version. Gun Box 2 itself dates back to January 14, 2015, and cost just 200 Coins before it was repriced to its current 1,000 Coins, 100 Diamonds, or 1 Mystery Key when the Season 1 update landed on May 25, 2019, the same update that gave every weapon box a chroma slot alongside its existing godly.
That timing put Chroma Shark right in the middle of The Duping Glitch (2019), a Season 1 era exploit where players used alt accounts to duplicate items during trades. Chroma Gingerblade, Chroma Boneblade, and Eternal II took the worst of it, but chroma weapons were targeted across the board, and Chroma Shark's own value never recovered, a pattern shared by most chromas from that 2018 to 2019 stretch compared to newer releases. Like every other chroma weapon, it also can't be broken down at the crafting station. Current trade trackers put it around 35 with Low demand.
