About Chroma Fang
Chroma Fang is a chroma knife obtainable from Knife Box 2, the same crate that holds its base godly counterpart, Fang. The box costs 1,000 Coins, 100 Diamonds, or 1 Mystery Key, and Chroma Fang drops at a 0.004% chance, while the base Fang sits at 0.2%. Knife Box 2 has been in the shop since MM2's early years and still sells today, so both versions stay obtainable through direct unboxing rather than trading alone.
Trading is still the faster route if the drop rate isn't worth chasing, and its value has dropped sharply since release from repeated duping of chroma weapons across the game.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Chroma Fang has a split blade mounted on a large black spider guard, with the tip of each blade slightly wider than the rest to resemble a pair of fangs. The handle sits beneath the spider and is wrapped in a black paracord pattern, finished with a pointed flame-shaped pommel. Color shifts across the entire knife, running from the blade down through the handle rather than sitting in one fixed shade.
With no Set partner to match it, Chroma Shark is the strongest pairing for a matching loadout. Both weapons come from the same Box 2 line of crates, both released with the Season 1 update, and both sit at the same 0.2%/0.004% base and chroma drop rates. Chroma Shark's silver-and-black body with color-alternating fins mirrors the same alternating-color treatment on Chroma Fang, giving the two a matching finish without either weapon needing to come from the same box.
Chroma Fang Background
Chroma Fang's model is based on Fang of Anansi, a limited Roblox gear item shaped like a spider. The original gear was orange, but Chroma Fang's texture was changed to the alternating-color effect used across every chroma weapon, and the flame effect from the source gear was removed entirely. Both Fang and Chroma Fang were released together on May 25, 2019, as part of the Season 1 update, the same update that introduced chroma pulls to weapon boxes across the game.
Like most other chroma weapons, Chroma Fang can't be broken down at the crafting station. It also lost a significant share of its value over time to duping, a problem that has repeatedly hit chroma weapons throughout MM2's history rather than being unique to this one.
