Why does Steal a Brainrot's version number not match the real update count?

Two Saturdays- Update 52.5 and Update 52.75 got fractional labels instead of full numbers since Steak and Caylus hosted in place of the game's creator that week. That's why the version number reads lower than the actual total.

Is the Steal a Brainrot update the same as Admin Abuse?

Yes. The update drops first, and that Saturday's Weekly Update Admin Abuse runs right behind it as one connected event.

Steal a Brainrot updates every Saturday around 8 PM UTC, with dozens of updates released since launch and none landing off schedule. Recent updates have added new Brainrots, machines, and limited-time content tied to the game's ongoing events. Each Saturday update coincides with that week's Admin Abuse event. Update contents stay unconfirmed until shortly before release.

Steal a Brainrot updates every Saturday, tied directly to the game's biggest recurring event. Whatever changes land the same day as that week's Admin Abuse, since the two run back-to-back.

Sixty-eight updates have gone out since launch, every one exactly seven days after the last, no exceptions, not even the two Saturdays a different host ran the show. In this article, we'll explore Steal a Brainrot's update schedule, what the most recent update added, and when the next one is confirmed to land.

How Often Does Steal a Brainrot Update?

Steal a Brainrot runs on a strict weekly cycle, always Saturday, always around 8 PM UTC. Sixty-seven logged updates going back to May 31, 2025 have landed exactly seven days apart with zero drift, even through two Saturdays where Steak and Caylus hosted in place of the game's creator instead of skipping the slot.

Those two hosted weeks are actually why the count runs ahead of the official version number. Update 52.5 and Update 52.75 got fractional labels rather than full new numbers. The most recent one, Update 70, landed October 10, 2026, with New bases and Skull Lucky Block

Contents of each week's update aren't usually confirmed until close to release, so the safest way to stay ahead is to check the official Steal a Brainrot X account once the countdown starts.

Final Words

Updates in the schedule haven't slipped once: Saturday around 8 PM UTC, every single week, hosted or not. That consistency makes the next update easy to predict even when the contents aren't; it lands the following Saturday regardless of what's inside. Since the specifics stay under wraps until close to release, checking the official Steal a Brainrot X account once the countdown starts is still the fastest way to know what's coming before the patch notes go live.
