About Zombified Gun (2019)
Zombified is an uncommon gun that was added to the game on October 26, 2019, as part of the Halloween Event 2019 Main Event. Reaching it meant buying through the Main Event's tiers at 1,000 Candies each, with the first tier free, putting the total cost at 5,000 Candies to unlock the 6th tier and claim the gun. The event ended on November 16, 2019, and Zombified has been trade-only ever since.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Zombified's barrel and frame are green, meant to resemble zombified skin. The cylinder is made of glass with a brain sitting inside it, and the handle is dark brown with a tape-like texture wrapped around it. Its official Set partner is the uncommon Zombified Knife (2019), forming the Zombified Set. The two weren't obtained the same way, the knife came from the 2019 Halloween Box, while the gun was a Main Event tier reward, but they share the same rotted, organic color scheme.
Zombified Gun (2019) Background
Halloween Event 2019 was the fifth Halloween event in MM2's history, and the first holiday event to introduce custom-designed weapons rather than reused or recolored models. Zombified sat early in that year's 40-tier Main Event, well before the Elderwood Scythe at the final tier, which required 80,000 Candies on top of the 39 paid tiers leading up to it, a total so steep it drew real backlash from players at the time.
Zombified's barrel texture was built to closely resemble Brains, the other uncommon knife from that year's Halloween Box, giving the event's uncommon lineup a shared rotted, organic look across two separate items.
