About Tides
Tides is a godly knife that you can unbox from Knife Box 5, which has been in the shop since February 18, 2016. A Knife Box 5 costs 1,000 Coins, 100 Diamonds, or 1 Mystery Key, and Tides has a 0.2% chance of dropping from it. It can also be traded, and its chroma version, Chroma Tides, drops from the same box.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Tides is a bright blue knife with a long, slightly curved blade. Three small wave shapes run along its side. A triangular sapphire crystal forms the guard, with more waves curling out from it as the quillons. The handle is a darker blue with four engraved grips and a crystal pommel. Tides has no Set. Frostfade is a good gun to pair with it, because its blue-to-cyan barrel and dark blue grip match the knife's blue colors.
Tides Background
Tides' model comes from the limited Roblox gear Mythic Sword of the Tides. The MM2 version was published by Nikilis, the game's creator. Every other knife in Knife Box 5 was designed by didi1147, which makes Tides the only one in its box that wasn't.
Before the Season 1 update on May 25, 2019, Tides was a crafting ingredient. Players salvaged one Seer, one Tides, and one Heat to craft Flames. Season 1 removed the Flames recipe because of duplication concerns, and it also added the chroma version of every box's godly. That is how Chroma Tides came to drop from Knife Box 5 at 0.004%, against 0.2% for Tides. Tides gives 55 godly shards when salvaged in the crafting station. Chroma Tides can't be salvaged at all.
