About Swirly Blade
Swirly Blade was a godly knife earned by giving 100 Gifts to other players at the Gifting Center during the Christmas Event 2021, which ran from December 21, 2021 to January 28, 2022. Each Gift cost 1,000 Snow Tokens, putting the full price at 100,000 Snow Tokens, and every Gift could only be opened by another player, who got a random item from any Mystery Box.
Trading is now the only way to add Swirly Blade to a collection, since the Gifting Center closed with the event. It was designed by IDontHaveAUse, the same designer behind every item in that event, and it makes up the Full Swirly Set together with Swirly Axe and Swirly Gun.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Swirly Blade takes the shape of a broad sword with a silver and white body, bordered by a brown wooden section running down the center of the blade. Three peppermint swirls in red and white are set into the wood, lined up along the length of the blade, with small gold dots scattered between them. The crossguard matches the same silver and brown tones, and the handle is plain brown wood.
Its natural pairing is Swirly Gun, the godly gun from the same event and its partner in the Full Swirly Set, which carries the same candy cane theme. Swirly Axe, the ancient knife from the event's last Main Event tier, completes the Full Swirly Set for players who want all three pieces together.
Swirly Blade Background
Swirly Blade was the third Christmas Event in a row to reward 100 Gifts with a godly, following Lugercane in 2019 and Jinglegun in 2020. The giving counted twice, since the Gifts Given leaderboard ran off the same gifts, with the top 100 gifters earning a Blue Swirly Gun trophy and the top three getting gold, silver, and bronze versions.
The Gift itself was modeled on the Red Frozen Gift of the Master Developer from Roblox's Giftsplosion Event 2014. Swirly Blade was one of five godlies added that event, alongside Iceflake and Icebeam from the Iceflake Set and Swirly Gun and Chroma Swirly Gun from the 2021 Christmas Box.
Swirly Blade is also the only piece of the Full Swirly Set earned by giving rather than opening or climbing, since Swirly Gun came out of the box and Swirly Axe sat on the 20th tier of the Main Event for 80,000 Snow Tokens. Mass duping later hit all three pieces of the Full Swirly Set, and Swirly Blade has stayed well below its earlier trade value ever since. Current trade trackers put Swirly Blade around 12 with Low demand.
