About Pine Knife
Pine is a common knife that was originally obtainable at Tier 4 of the Christmas Event 2019 Main Event, which cost 600 Snow Tokens per tier, during an event that ran from December 23, 2019 to January 13, 2020. The event closed out once January 13 hit, so trading is the only way to add it to your collection now.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Pine has a green pine leaf texture imprinted on the blade, with a dark brown wood texture across the guard and handle to resemble an actual pine tree. Its official Set partner is Pine Gun, the common gun pulled from the 2019 Christmas Box that same event, sharing the same pine leaf and wood-trunk look across both pieces.
Pine Knife Background
Pine's gun counterpart came from an entirely different path than the knife itself, unboxed from the 2019 Christmas Box at a 70% common chance rather than bought through the Main Event's tier ladder, a split acquisition method between two pieces of the same named Set. That same Main Event ladder also topped out with Logchopper, the event's ancient knife, sitting at the very final tier for 70,000 Snow Tokens after finishing all 30 tiers, the same ladder Pine's own Tier 4 came from.
Both Pine pieces were part of the wider Workshop-themed rollout that year, the event's new lobby and map cast as Saint Nikilis' toy workshop, with the Gifting Center letting players trade 1,000 Snow Tokens for a Gift containing a random item from any Mystery Box, including a chance at either Pine piece long after the Main Event's own tier ladder had been climbed.
