About Ocean
Ocean is a godly gun released during the Summer Event 2023, MM2's first ever summer event, which ran from July 4 to October 10, 2023. Players could buy it on its own through the Ocean Game Pass for 1,699 Robux or grab it alongside its matching knife Waves in the Ocean Bundle for 3,399 Robux, which also included the exclusive Flow effect. Both listings closed once the event ended, so trading is the only way to get it now.
Appearance and Best Pairings
The body is colored in blue, pastel blue, and white to resemble the ocean, and the frame carries a linen-colored shell pattern that connects into the rest of the gun.
Ocean pairs with the godly knife Waves to form the Ocean Set, keeping the same blue and white palette matched across gun and knife. It also fits well next to Pearl, the ocean themed godly knife from the following year's Summer Event 2024, since both lean on the same light blue and pearl inspired look even outside the official set.
Ocean Background
Ocean and Waves were the first summer themed godlies ever added to MM2, back when summer barely had a lineup of its own. That's changed a lot since. Pearl and Pearlshine followed in Summer Event 2024, then Summer Event 2025 got promoted to a full flagship update alongside Halloween and Christmas and brought Synthwave, Sunrise, Chroma Sunrise, Sunset, and Chroma Sunset, all tagged as FX weapons.
Summer Event 2026 kept the pace going with Beachy, Sands, Icecream, and their chroma counterparts. Every reward from the original Summer Event 2023, weapons included, was designed by IDontHaveAUse, who also posted concept art of Ocean on Twitter ahead of release.
The pair was the sixth godly weapon set where players had the choice to buy either piece separately or as a bundle, following the same setup used for Rainbow, Sakura, Phantom, Plasmablade, and Iceflake's sets. Summer Event 2023 itself broke MM2's player record at the time with 215,672 concurrent players, a mark that stood until the Easter Event 2024 beat it.
Ocean and Waves eventually left the shop for good once Darksword and Darkshot took over as the next limited bundle, leaving trading as the only way to add either piece to your inventory since.
