About Icebreaker
Icebreaker is an ancient knife that was originally obtainable at the final Tier 20 of the Christmas Event 2020 Main Event, where each of the 20 tiers cost 800 Snow Tokens, and the last one demanded 70,000 Snow Tokens on top to claim the knife itself, during an event that ran from December 23, 2020 to January 13, 2021. The event closed out once January 13 hit, so trading is the only way to add it to your collection now.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Icebreaker takes the shape of a larger BattleAxe, a purple-handled labrys with two ice-encased blades and a demon-like face at the center, complete with silver horns, icy blue eyes, and sharp metal teeth. Its official Set partners are Iceblaster and Icepiercer, together making the Full Ice Set.
Icebreaker Background
The Full Ice Set's three pieces came from three different obtain methods across two separate years. Icebreaker came from the Main Event tier ladder, while its Set partner, Iceblaster, came from a crate pull, unboxed from the same 2020 Christmas Box at a 0.2% godly chance. Icepiercer, the Set's third piece, didn't arrive until two years later during Christmas Event 2022, as that year's own Tier 20 Battle Pass reward.
Icebreaker also carries reskin variants tied to the event's Token-Collecting leaderboard, a gold, silver, and bronze version awarded to the top three finishers, HippocriticaI, ironjenjin, and Avwwie, with a red version going to the rest of the top 100. IDontHaveAUse posted concept sketches of the full three-piece Ice Set on Twitter before the pieces were finished, and Icebreaker itself is only the second ancient knife in MM2 that isn't a scythe, after Logchopper the year before.
