About Heat
Heat is a Godly knife that you can unbox from the Rainbow Box, which costs 1,000 Coins, 100 Diamonds, or 1 Mystery Key, and every box gives it a 0.2% chance. Trading is the other way to get it. It belongs to the Small (107) Set, and its chroma version, Chroma Heat, drops from the same box at a 0.004% chance.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Heat takes the shape of a broad, curved blade shifting from deep red at the base through orange into yellow near the tip, with jagged flame like points cut into the top edge. A black, claw like grip wraps around the base of the blade where it meets the handle, with small spiked ridges jutting out. The handle is a red shaft that tapers to a glowing orange point at the very end. Red Luger is a good pairing, since its metallic red color matches the blade's red and orange tones, making the two work well as a fire themed loadout.
Heat Background
Heat is older than the Rainbow Box that holds it today. It was the Godly knife of the MLG Box, which cost 150 Coins, and on November 15, 2015 that box was redesigned into the Chroma Box because of copyright problems. On August 6, 2016, the Rainbow Box replaced the Chroma Box. Almost every knife from those older boxes was removed, but Heat and Shiny were the only two that stayed when the Rainbow Box took over, and Heat is the only item left from the original MLG Box.
Before Season 1 arrived on May 25, 2019, Heat was also a crafting ingredient. Salvaging a Heat, a Tides, and a Seer gave the materials needed to craft Flames, and during the Christmas Event 2015, a Heat together with 100 Gifts made Chill. Season 1 removed the Flames recipe, so both knives are now trade only. Current trade trackers put Heat around 10 with Low.
