About Golden
Golden is a vintage gun that was originally sold in the shop of the first Murder Mystery for 3,000 Points or 125 Cash, which made it one of the most expensive weapons in that shop. It carried over into Murder Mystery 2 when the original game was replaced on December 25, 2014, and Season 1 later renamed the old Classic tier to Vintage. It cannot be salvaged, so trading is the only way to get it now. It is one of the 10 items in the Vintage Set and forms the Golden Set with the Golden Knife.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Golden is a low-poly revolver covered in a raw gold texture, and it keeps the same shape as the old Classic Gun. The whole gun is one metallic gold color, so it stands out in a loadout more than most vintage items. Its Set partner is the Golden Knife, a legendary knife with the same raw gold texture. For a second knife, Prince is a good match, since it has a gray blade with a gold guard and a golden orb in the middle.
Golden Background
Golden is a retextured Classic Gun, and it shares its mesh with America. The model comes from the Roblox gear Sheriff Steve's Six Shooter, which is no longer on sale, and the gold texture was made by the Roblox user Tagian. In the original shop, the description pitched it as a gun for the richest players, and its price matched that, since only the Blood knife at 4,000 Points and 175 Cash cost more.
The other weapons in the Vintage Set are Cowboy, Splitter, Laser, Ghost, Phaser, Prince, Shadow, and Blood. Golden sat in the middle of that price range, at the same 3,000 Points and 125 Cash as the Shadow knife, and its gold texture is the main reason it is the best-known of the vintage guns.
