About Deathshard

Deathshard is a godly knife unboxed from Knife Box 1, the very first knife box ever added to Murder Mystery 2, released back in 2014. The box is still purchasable today for 1,000 Coins, 100 Diamonds, or a Mystery Key, and holds twelve weapons total, with Deathshard sitting alone at the bottom as the only non-chroma godly, a 0.2% pull.

Unlike most godlies, Deathshard never stopped being obtainable through unboxing, so trading is simply the faster route to it, not the only one. Its chroma counterpart, Chroma Deathshard, comes out of the same box at 0.004%.

Appearance and Best Pairings

Deathshard has a silver blade split down the middle into two separate points, set into a dark curved guard with a black, tape-wrapped handle. It has no official Set partner, but Luger makes a fitting pairing. Both weapons came out of MM2's original pair of mystery boxes in 2014, Deathshard from Knife Box 1 and Luger from Gun Box 1, each sitting at the same 0.2% godly slot in their own box.

Deathshard Background

Deathshard's model derives from the limited Roblox gear Ghostfire Dagger, though its shadow aura was dropped and the guard darkened for its MM2 version. When salvaged at the crafting station, it breaks down into 25 godly shards. Knife Box 1 and Gun Box 1 are both leftovers from 2014, the game's earliest era, and both originally sold for 75 Credits before later settling into the Coins and Diamonds pricing used today. That makes Deathshard one of the few godlies still sitting in an active box years after its release.
