About Darkbringer
Darkbringer is a godly gun that comes from Mystery Box 2, a standard shop crate introduced during the March 2020 Update, still up for purchase today for 1,000 Coins, 100 Diamonds, or 1 Mystery Key. Pulling it out of the box specifically sits at a 0.2% chance, with its chroma counterpart, Chroma Darkbringer, even rarer at 0.004%.
Trading works too if you'd rather skip the odds entirely. Darkbringer is officially paired with the godly gun Lightbringer, making the Bringer Set, both pulled from the same box.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Unlike most guns in MM2, Darkbringer skips the revolver shape for a pathbringer body, all in black with red accents: a red grip on the underside of the handle, two red stripes running along the barrel, a red "wing" piece at its center, and a red trigger set inside a black trigger guard.
Pair it with Lightbringer, its official Set partner from the same box and the closest color match, or with Batwing, an ancient knife the community commonly pairs it with even though the two were never made an official set.
Darkbringer Background
Mystery Box 2 stands out among MM2's standard, non-event shop boxes: it's the only one that packs four godly-tier pulls into a single crate, Darkbringer and Lightbringer at 0.2% each, plus both of their chroma versions at 0.004%. Most other standard boxes carry just one godly and one chroma slot, making this one an outlier by design rather than an accident.
Keep in mind that Darkbringer is not the same item as Dartbringer, a separate unique-tier gun that's only ever been given out through a Roblox promo code, not from any box. The two share a similar name and little else, different tiers, different ways to get it, no relation beyond that. Darkbringer also can't be broken down at the crafting station, a restriction that applies to every weapon that box holds.
