About Cowboy
Cowboy is a vintage gun that was originally sold in the shop of the first Murder Mystery for 800 Points or 5 Cash. When Murder Mystery 2 replaced the original game on December 25, 2014, players who owned it kept it, and it was first labeled Classic before Season 1 renamed that tier to Vintage. It cannot be salvaged, so trading is the only way to get it now. It is one of the 10 items in the Vintage Set and forms the Cowboy Set with the Cowboy Knife.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Cowboy is a revolver that resembles a Colt Single Action Army, with many patterns covering its surface. The shape is the same one that MM2 later used for the default gun, so it looks familiar even to players who never owned it.
Its Set partner is the Cowboy Knife, a rare knife with a dark gray blade, a white handle, and western-style engravings. For a second knife, Prince is a good match, since it comes from the same Murder Mystery 1 shop and has a gray blade with a gold guard and a brown handle.
Cowboy Background
Cowboy was inspired by John Marston's cattleman revolver from the Red Dead Redemption series, and its model comes from the Roblox gear Dual Dueling Pistols, which is no longer on sale. In the original shop, it was one of the two cheapest weapons at 800 Points or 5 Cash, together with the Splitter knife, while the other Vintage weapons went up to 4,000 Points and 175 Cash for the Blood knife.
The rest of the Vintage Set is made of Splitter, Laser, Ghost, Phaser, Prince, Shadow, Golden, Blood, and America. America was the odd one out, since it was only sold from July 4 to July 6, 2014. Cowboy was always on sale, so it is the vintage gun that was easiest to buy back then, which is also why it sits at the low end of the Set today.
