About Chroma Traveler's Gun
Chroma Traveler's Gun is a chroma gun that was originally obtainable by unboxing the 2023 Halloween Box during that year's Halloween Event. The odds of pulling it sat at just 0.004%, far below even the 5 percent chance for the box's legendary knife and the 0.2 percent chance for its godly counterpart, Traveler's Gun. Now that the event is over, trading with other players is the only way to get one.
It holds the title of the most valuable chroma weapon in the game and sits among the rarest items overall. Like every other chroma weapon, it can't be broken down at the crafting station.
Appearance and Best Pairings
The gun takes the shape of an ancient revolver reworked with a Halloween theme. Its barrel runs through a chromatic gradient, shifting from red into magenta and finishing in blue, with tree roots and vines coiled around it. A chromatic jack-o-lantern sits where the cylinder and hammer would normally be, and the wooden handle carries the same wrapped vine detailing as the barrel.
Its closest pairing is Traveler's Axe, the ancient knife that partners with the base Traveler's Gun to form the Traveler Set. Carrying the chroma version alongside that axe keeps the Halloween 2023 theme intact for players who want a matching loadout. It also fits naturally with other chroma weapons from the same era, such as Chroma Cookiecane or Chroma Elderwood Blade, for players building out a full chroma collection instead of a single themed set.
Chroma Traveler's Gun Background
Chroma Traveler's Gun came out of the same 2023 Halloween Box as its godly counterpart, Traveler's Gun, and the legendary Traveler Knife. Its rarity comes down to stacked odds.
The box itself was a limited-time drop, the chance of pulling any godly from it sat at 0.2%, and the chroma version was rarer still on top of that, at a 0.004% unboxing rate. That scarcity has kept its trade value near the top of the chroma tier since release, making it currently the rarest and most expensive gun in Murder Mystery 2.
