About Chroma Seer
Chroma Seer is a chroma knife obtainable by crafting it at the crafting station, following BloxSwaps' guide on how to craft in MM2, through the Random Painted Seers recipe, which costs 10 godly metals and 10 godly shards. Building up that many materials means salvaging at least ten Seers plus another godly weapon, and out of the six Random Painted Seers the recipe can produce, Chroma Seer has the slimmest odds of the batch, making it the hardest of the six to actually land.
Trading is still an option alongside crafting, since the recipe itself never left the game. Chroma Seer has no official Set partner, its base godly counterpart, Seer, and its five colored siblings, Red Seer, Yellow Seer, Purple Seer, Blue Seer, and Orange Seer, are the only weapons it's grouped with, and none of them are guns. Together, they form the Full Seer Set.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Chroma Seer has a chromatic, color-shifting blade in a jagged shape with black hemispheres of different sizes attached to it. The guard and handle are black with neon chromatic cracks running through them, and four chromatic eyes with black slit pupils sit on the guard, a callback to the Overseer design the whole knife is based on.
With no Set partner to pair it with, Overseer works well as the gun choice. It shares the exact same design lineage, both the knife and gun trace back to Roblox's Overseer gear series, and its black body with neon green cracks lines up closely with Chroma Seer's own black-and-crack look.
Chroma Seer Background
Random Painted Seers, the recipe family Chroma Seer belongs to, only exist because of the Season 1 update, released May 25, 2019. They're filed under the Classic section of a player's inventory instead of Season 1, despite being introduced alongside it. The base Seer's own crafting cost changed with that same update too, jumping from 10 legendary shards up to 20, meaning players now need to salvage twice as many legendary weapons just to craft the plain version before even attempting a painted one.
Before Season 1, Seer had a second use outside crafting the painted versions. It was one of three knives, alongside Tides and Heat, used to craft a weapon called Flames, a recipe that was removed once Season 1 launched.
