About Chroma Lightbringer
Chroma Lightbringer is a Chroma gun that can still be unboxed from Mystery Box 2 or picked up through trading. It's the chroma counterpart of the Godly gun Lightbringer, found in that same box.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Chroma Lightbringer has a mostly white body, but despite looking and sounding like a revolver, it features its own unique frame rather than the standard revolver mesh. The colour runs through the handle grip, the barrel's stripes, the small wing on the top corner of the gun, and the trigger, with each part cycling through rainbow shades against the white base.
The Chroma version of Lightbringer matches Chroma Darkbringer, which was also released in the Season 1 update. Together, they make up the Chroma Bringer set. However, since they are both guns, only one can be equipped at a time.
When it comes to knife pairings, many players agree that finding a good match for Chroma Lightbringer can be difficult due to the lack of white knives in MM2. Clockwork and Corrupt are commonly considered some of the best knife matches for Chroma Lightbringer.
Chroma Lightbringer Background
Chroma Lightbringer was designed by IDontHaveAUse and released alongside the Season 1 update as the rare pull from Mystery Box 2, with a drop chance of 0.004%, much lower than the 0.2% odds of obtaining the default Lightbringer. Like a number of other Chroma weapons, it was caught up in the 2021 Duping Glitch, which introduced fake copies into circulation and ultimately caused its value to drop.
Since then, its trade value has settled into a low, fairly stable range, while demand has remained on the lower side. It is considered a Tier 1 Chroma, a tier that includes all of the other Chroma weapons affected by the 2021 Duping Glitch. Within this tier, it is the second-highest-valued Chroma, behind only its partner, Chroma Darkbringer. This suggests that Chroma Lightbringer remains relatively desirable, likely due in part to its appearance.
