About Chroma Gingerblade
Chroma Gingerblade is a Chroma Godly knife that entered the game on May 25, 2019, when the Season 1 update introduced Chroma Weapons across every classic box still in rotation, including the 2018 Christmas Box first sold during Christmas Event 2018. Like every crate chroma, its unboxing odds sit at a fixed 0.004%, tucked beneath the box's own 0.2% chance at a plain Godly. The box itself cost one Snowflake Key, bought for 100 Snowflake Tokens earned by growing trees during that event, and it shares its loot pool with the Gingerblade, the counterpart it's recolored from.
Unlike the base Gingerblade, which yields 20 godly shards when salvaged at the crafting station, no chroma weapon, this one included, can be broken down there. Trading is now the only way to add it, since both the original event and the Season 1 box rotation that carried it have long since closed.
Appearance and Best Pairings
Chroma Gingerblade takes the shape of a broad blade styled like a gingerbread knife, its surface smooth brown with a row of white icing like dots and small colored gems lining the top edge. Green, purple, and pink gem-like beads scatter across the flat of the blade, and the crossguard flares out into small bat like wing shapes. The handle repeats the icing dot pattern down its length, ending in a large green gem near the base with a purple gem set at the very bottom. Its closest match for a loadout is Cane Gun (2018) a Rare gun from that same Christmas Box, carrying the white and red peppermint stripes that echo Gingerblade's own trim, even though the two were never packaged as an official Set.
Chroma Gingerblade Background
Chroma Gingerblade wasn't the first holiday chroma to exist; that honor belongs to Chroma Boneblade from the 2018 Halloween Box, but it was the second, and the Christmas Box that carried it was the first Christmas box ever to mix both knives and guns into one loot table instead of splitting them by weapon type. Its base shape, like the plain Gingerblade it's recolored from, is built off the limited Roblox back accessory Gingerbread Immortal Sword.
The 2019 Duping Glitch hit chroma weapons from 2018 and 2019 especially hard, and Chroma Gingerblade was named directly among the items heavily targeted, alongside Chroma Boneblade and Eternal II. Its value never fully recovered, and it still trades for noticeably less than chromas released in later years.
The knife carries a couple of quirks of its own too: throwing it leaves the chroma portion stuck on the player's hand while the rest of the blade flies off, a glitch that's never been patched, and running the /chromatoggle command turns the entire knife rainbow instead of just the selected candy pieces as it does on most other chromas, and current trade trackers put it around 28 with Low demand.
